Privacy Policy

Last Updated: April 15, 2026

Your privacy matters — even when you're just trying to remember whose turn it is. This policy explains, in plain English, what happens with your data when you use Table Session Companion ("the App"), brought to you by Table Session Companion developed by TOO SMART TECHNOLOGY STUDIO ("we," "us," or "our"). No tricks, no fine-print surprises. By using the App you agree to what's below.

What Are Your Rights and Choices?

Short version: you're in charge. You can:

  • Reset your advertising ID or turn off ad personalization in Android Settings → Google → Ads.
  • Clear the App's data from your device settings — that resets the anonymous identifier and wipes out your saved game sessions, preferences, and any locally cached pages.
  • Uninstall the App at any time. That's the nuclear option, and it's totally fine with us (we'll miss you).
  • Email us at [email protected] to ask what we have on you, request deletion, or just say hi. Depending on where you live, you may have formal rights under laws like GDPR or CCPA — we honor them.

What Do We Actually Collect?

We promise we're not snooping around your phone for your grocery list. Here's the short list of what the App looks at:

The Automatic Stuff

When the App launches for the first time, two small things happen behind the scenes:

  • An anonymous identifier is generated and saved on your device. It's just a random string of characters — no name, no email, nothing tied to you personally. It helps us tell one installation apart from another for analytics.
  • Your device language and region are read from your system settings so the App shows up in the right language (and doesn't, say, try to teach you Backgammon rules in Klingon).

We also collect the Google Advertising ID from your device. This helps us measure which marketing campaigns actually bring people to the App. You can reset this ID or opt out of personalized ads at any time in your Android settings.

The Built-in Browser

The App includes a small built-in browser used to show pages like this Privacy Policy and the Support page without kicking you out to another app. A few notes about how it behaves:

  • The built-in browser supports cookies (including third-party cookies) and local storage, the same way any regular web browser does. The App itself doesn't read or collect those — they're set and read by the websites you load.
  • Any website you open inside the built-in browser follows its own privacy practices, not ours.
  • Clearing the App's data from your device settings also clears any cookies and local storage the built-in browser has accumulated.

What You Send Us (Support Messages)

If you tap Support in the App and send us a message, you choose what to share. The form accepts:

  • Your name. Real, fake, or your player nickname — whatever you like.
  • An email address, so we can write back.
  • A message describing your question or the bug you hit.
  • An optional attachment. You can take a photo or video with your device's camera, or pick an existing file — a screenshot, image, document (PDF, Word, or plain text) — through your device's built-in file picker.

We only receive this if you choose to send it, and we only use it to reply to you and fix the issue you reported. The App itself never opens your camera on its own — if you choose to take a photo for a support message, that happens entirely in your device's built-in camera app, which handles its own permissions.

Stuff Saved on Your Device (and Nowhere Else)

Your game sessions, player names, scoring history, sound and vibration preferences, default timer settings, onboarding status — all of that lives only on your device. None of it is sent to our servers. Clear app data or uninstall and it's gone.

Why Do We Collect It?

A short, honest list:

  • To make the App work — showing you content in your language, remembering your preferences, letting you reach support.
  • To understand where players come from — so we know which ads and campaigns are worth running (that's what the advertising ID and attribution data are for).
  • To reply to your support requests and fix bugs you tell us about.

We don't use your data to build advertising profiles of you, we don't sell it, and we don't rent it out.

Who Else Gets to See Any of This?

We work with one external service that helps us understand where our players come from:

  • AppsFlyer — handles mobile attribution. We share the advertising ID, attribution details (such as installation source and campaign name), and the anonymous identifier with AppsFlyer. AppsFlyer also collects standard technical information on its own (things like your IP address, device model, and OS version) as part of how it works. See AppsFlyer's privacy policy for the full details.

That's the whole list. We don't share data with advertisers, data brokers, or mysterious "partners."

How Long Is This Data Kept Around?

It depends on what we're talking about:

  • The anonymous identifier and your locally saved game data stay on your device until you clear app data or uninstall.
  • Cookies and local storage set by websites in the built-in browser follow those websites' own expiration rules; clearing app data wipes them.
  • The advertising ID is managed by Google Play Services; you can reset it whenever you want.
  • AppsFlyer's installation identifier is managed by AppsFlyer and is tied to your App installation.
  • Support messages are kept for as long as we need to help you and for a reasonable period after that to handle follow-ups; then they're deleted.

Is Any of This Secure?

Data sent between the App and our servers (or AppsFlyer) uses standard encryption (HTTPS). That said, a small number of network requests may use unencrypted connections — so treat the internet, in general, with the healthy suspicion it deserves. No method of transmission is 100% bulletproof, but we apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect what we do handle.

Is This Safe for Kids?

The App isn't aimed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you're a parent or guardian and think your child has sent us something through the Support form, email us at [email protected] and we'll take care of it right away.

What About Other Websites the App Links To?

When you tap a link in the built-in browser that leads to a third-party website (for example, to a partner's privacy page), that site has its own rules. We're not responsible for how other websites collect or handle data — give their privacy policies a look if you plan to share anything sensitive.

What If This Policy Changes?

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time — usually because something in the App changed, or a law did. When that happens, we'll bump the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. If the changes are significant, we'll try to make it obvious (we won't bury anything). Continued use of the App after an update means you're okay with the new version.

How Can You Get in Touch?

Questions, concerns, compliments about our clever use of semicolons — we read it all:
